2nd Biennial International Indigenous Design Forum
The Hau Kainga/home people of Ngāi Tahu - Ngāi Tūāhuriri and Ngāti Wheke - will play host to Ngā Aho and their manuhiri/guests in welcoming them to the conference.
A Wānanga style experience will be provided where guests will be accommodated for the duration of the Forum at the Marae (Indigenous Community Centre). Nā Te Kore will also run across a range of venues that will highlight and showcase the diverse nature of the Christchurch rebuild post-earthquake. The schedule will include presentations, panel discussions, workshops and indigenous site visits.
Ngā Aho are culturally connected design professionals. We earn this by having an open, relevant outlook and by being innovative. We deliver this by using our specialist knowledge and passion for expression in design to create value.
We are enthusiastic about what we do, dedicated to being the best and making a difference for our people, clients and associates.
We understand and promote the inherited ideas, beliefs, values and knowledge of our Māori and Indigenous world views, which form the bases of interaction between our people, clients and associates.
We are consistently aware of the needs and aspirations of our people, and open to future and past thinking - growing and expanding our view.
Collaborative
Our ability to connect, to act in unison with others is our strength. Relationships lie at the core of our collaboration - by understanding and respecting the views of our clients and partners we will add value.
We are nurturers of culturally connected designs and designers for generations to come.
